Nyerere Dam is home to Hydrocynus tanzaniae, Tanzania’s endemic tigerfish species.
Closely related to the more familiar Hydrocynus vittatus, these fish have quickly earned a reputation for their extraordinary aggression and breathtaking speed.
Their takes are explosive.
Their first runs are blistering.
Their determination rarely fades until they reach the net.

On one recent hosted week, our guests landed well over 100 tigerfish, with fish averaging far larger than many established African fisheries.
